Jesus Made You More Than 'Enough'!

Hi friends!!

One of the many things I have learned during my church's youth meeting yesterday is this very simple truth: Jesus made you enough, you don't have to try and prove yourself to Him!

"We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are."
Romans 3:22 NLT

Your past, to God, doesn't change His love for you. Whether you are an ex-criminal like Paul, a doubter like Sarah, an adulterer and plotter like David, or a fearful man like Moses, God wipes all of it away when you believe in His son, Jesus, and trust Him with all your heart. Never forget these words, "Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin." (1 Corinthians 1:30) Now THAT'S amazing grace! :D
The Lord knows that we won't be able to stay 'good' and not sin without His guidance. We are so helpless without Him! That's why He gave us the Holy Spirit to tell us of our wrongs and aid us to stay on the right path- just like the best of friend, only much, much more reliable and truthful.

I am currently listening to, "Meteor Shower" by Owl City, and the lyrics struck a big cord within me (yeah, it happens a lot)! They say:

"I can finally see that You're right there beside me
I am not my own, for I have been made new
Please don't let me go, I desperately need You
I am not my own, for I have been made new
Please don't let me go, I desperately need You”
-Meteor Shower (Owl City)

I think that whether you have been a Christian for 25 years or 25 minutes, this is a truth that we all need to be reminded of. God is not partial, He loves us all the same. Jesus didn't die for the righteous, He died for the super-ultra-mega sick like you and me (Mark 2:17)! However, let's thank Him that He doesn't intend on leaving us sick and dirty like this! He wants to transform us into the beautiful image of His son (2 Corinthians 3:18), and this is such a privilege. Just think about it!

I pray that this little message warmed your heart and enlightened your soul, I love you all! :)

From your sister,

P.S.: Sorry for my absence! I have decided to change the "Song of The Day" button to "Song of The Week". It was getting a little hard to find new interesting songs to feature each day... I hope that the songs will bless you, and please feel free to leave me your thoughts on them, I love to hear from you! This week's song: (you guessed it!) Meteor Shower by Owl City.

Stay tuned for more changes on the blog!
