Liebster Award

Thank you Sofia at Teens Live for Jesus and Rebekah at Calico Sistsers for nominating me for the Liebster award! Thank you Sofia also for saying that "liebster" means "dearest" in German. You are both so sweet! Here we go:

  1. Jesus brought my heart back to Him (and I dedicated myself to Him!) after I almost lost my life to an anaphylaxis reaction... Although I now stay away from mangoes, I'll always remember it as being a life-changing fruit!
  2. English is my second language. Le français est ma langue maternelle!
  3. Hablo español un poco también.
  4. I'm known as "Ms. Granola" because I mostly eat food in its natural state, but who said Little Debbie's Cosmic Brownies weren't natural...?
  5. I purely detest the idea that there is only 1 kind of "Christian". Salvation is for everyone, regardless of appearance or past mistakes.
  6. The first Bible version I read that blessed me the most is the God Girl (GW) Bible. I earnestly recommend it!
  7. I live in an historical 18th century village.
  8. I *really* dislike cheese... Yet I am a former squeaky cheese lover.
  9. I love folk, indie-rock, and Celtic music. Do you know just how many alternative Christian music bands there are out there??
  10. I'll try as hard as I can not to take medication and treat my problem naturally with much prayer!
  11. I have lived in 2 CAN provinces and 1 US state.

  1. What time of day do you look forward to most? - DINNER TIME!
  2. What’s your favorite genre in fiction? - Fantasy and historical.
  3. What sport do you like most, if any? - Baseball and swimming.
  4. What’s the funniest thing you heard (or did) today? - Hearing my mom laugh hysterically after my sister tried (and succeeded) to imitate one of my dad's habits!
  5. Do you/did you like being a teenager? - I love being young and free, but I hate those "teenage hormones"! Hehe... I try not to despair, I know that through Jesus, I can overcome them!
  6. Who is your favorite author? - Corrie ten Boom and no one else I can think of yet because I rarely read the author's sequels :P
  7. Do you play any musical instruments? - The spoons! Just kidding.
  8. How many hours a week do you spend in front of the computer (approximately)?  - Oh, I have no idea!
  9. Do you believe music relieves stress? Do books do a better job? - Definitely music! Although novels do a great job in relaxing you, stress for me usually comes with a headache. So bring on the music!
  10. What’s your favorite color? - Purple (story of my life) and pink.
  11. You’ve been given three work-free child-free chore-free study-free hours. What are you going to do? - Blast the bass music and sing! :D

  1. Have you ever watched Downton Abbey? If so, how would you rate it from 1 to 10? - I haven't watched it yet, but my library has it so I'm planning to borrow season 1!
  2. How long have you been blogging? - 8 months :)
  3. What is the long term goal for your blog? - Primarily to invite non-Christians into what it's like to be a friend of Jesus, and in all prayers bless and help them to want more of God!
  4. Have you ever set off a firework? - No, but now my sister legally can! We'll see what the future holds ;)
  5. What kind of weather is there where you live? [i.e. tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes...] - Lots of rain and wind (tornado warnings), and it kind of feels/looks like Autumn... In July.
  6. Would you rather ride [a horse] or walk? - Ride a horse! I miss Misty, the horse at my classes :(
  7. Have you ever been on a mission trip? If so, where to and why? - Never been, but where God leads me, I'll follow!
  8.  What version of the Bible do you prefer? [i.e. KJV, NIV, the Message] - Names of God and (New) King James version.
  9. If you could have a certain amount of land for free, how much would you want and what kind terrain would it be? [i.e. 100 acres of pastureland, forrest, beach, etc.] - Enough acreage for 3 separate houses, and maybe near a shoreline in the Maritimes, Lord willing!
  10. What is your last name and what does it mean? - Habel is German and it means "battle". Liboiron is French and possibly means "the drinker"... The drinker of chocolate milk? I think YES!
  11. Do you have a paying job? - Oui, with my sister at SensibleCrafts on Etsy! ;)

YOU! - Comment and tell me about you! :)
Rebekah & Cassie - Calico Sisters (ok, I know it's not technically fair, but I think you guys deserve to be nominated back nonetheless!)
Sofia - Teens Live for Jesus
Abigail - The Journey of a Lifetime - A Daughter's Musings
Andrea - 691 Super Long Hair
Carolyn - The Life of a Christian Teen (not really a blog, but her Tumblr is so inspiring!)

    1. Hi Evie! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog and answer my questions, it blesses me very much! :) I loved hearing from you and your answers. Do you play an instrument yourself or are you just fond of listening to music? Your hidden talent is awesome, it's nice for reserved people to have a friend who respects and understand them!

I just joined your blog, it's lovely and I love "fangirl" blogs! ;)

    3. Wow, what a virtuoso you are! :) It was my pleasure to join your blog, although I find it very strange that Blogger is acting up again! I've had quite a few problems with my "Join" button. It works on my mom's account, so hopefully you will be able to join soon. Thanks for subscribing by email! :)

    5. Hi Evie! Yesterday my sister told me that she couldn't join my blog either, so it sparked my curiosity and we tried another way. If you click on the two overlapping squares on the right of the "Join this site" button, a page will pop up with a Google "Follow" button, and by clicking it you should be able to join. I hope this works! :)

  2. Thanks for nominating me! I enjoyed reading your answers! Corrie ten Boom's story and books are challenging and inspirational (her sister Betsy is one of my favorite historical characters). Loved the definition of your last name!

    1. Thank you, Bethany!! It's true, Corrie's books are remarkable! To believe that we will meet Betsy, Corrie, and all of the ten Boom family in heaven... Have you ever read "Tortured for Christ"? I think The Voice of The Martyrs or BibleGateway are giving away free copies :) It's such an eye-opening book!

    2. That is a good book; I haven't read it myself, but my mother either read it to us or read it and told us about it when we were younger. Richard Wurmbrand's story is amazing; it is incredible how God gave him the fortitude to endure the torture he went through.

Ah, yes, I am looking forward to meeting the ten Booms and so many others!

  6. Thanks for nominating me back! Here are the answers:
    1. For what are you especially thankful to the Lord right now?
I'm thankful for the church camp I was in. It's great to be around a lot of Christian teens. :)

    2. What is your favourite part about blogging?
Probably making new changes to it's look. :)

    3. What is your "liebster" possession
    *shrug* I don't know

    4. What is your favourite genre of music?
I'm really so ignorant of music genres that I don't know what it's called. :) Rock, maybe?

    5. If you could describe being a Christian to people, what word would you use?
    Hope.

    6.Favourite tea?
    I don't really like tea, so I don't have a favorite.

7.Which woman/man from the Bible inspires you the most?
I haven't really thought of it like that. Maybe Ruth?

8.If you could change the colour of your hair, what would it be?
I like my dark-brown hair, but light-brown would probably be next in line

9 . Do you have any "hidden" talents?
I don't know. I love writing, playing soccer. I do hope I have a talent in drama, but I don't know.

    10. Would you describe yourself as a handy lady?
Umm... Sorry to say I don't really know what that means. No?

    11. Your biggest pet peeve?
Well, concerning blogs, I get really annoyed when the intervals between posts are pretty big. :/

    1. I liked your answers, Sofia!! :) Thank you for answering them. Yeah, I agree with answer #11, it is kind of bothersome... Oh, and about question #10, I meant that if let's say your sink pipes broke (or you just want to hang a frame!), would you find yourself holding the screwdriver and repairing it if possible, or would you call your dad? :P Haha!

      In all sisterly love,
      -Noémie

    2. I'd definitely be the one calling my dad. I'm so so clueless about those stuff. :)
