A Beautiful Sabbath

This sunny morning I had the blessing of sitting down with my crochet project and listen to the audio Scriptures... It was such a sweet time as I heard how Jesus prayed to His Father in heaven with love and humbleness, awaiting what was at hand!

John 17:1-5 "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee:

As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him.

And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.

I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do.

And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was."

I also took pictures in the beautiful weather of the afternoon... :)

Zoé the yorkie, ironically looking up at I-don't-know-what. ;)

So much hair! She always runs when she hears us say "Squirel!"
Our flowers are beginning to bloom! Tulips of unknown colors are on their way, but does anybody know what this pretty blossom is?

Just as I was heading back home, I thought to myself "I sure wish I would have taken a picture of something rare!" when I suddenly heard small paws crunching on the dead leaves- a chipmunk! Jesus is SO good, and He does care even about the little things! He knew my seeing this little guy (noticed his full mouth?) would bless me and gladden my heart. Thank You Father!!!

John 17:21-26 "That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.

And the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are one:

I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me.

Father, I will that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me: for Thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world.

O righteous Father, the world hath not known Thee: but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou hast sent Me.

And I have declared unto them Thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

I pray that you all have a wonderful Resurrection Day tomorrow!

Numbers 6:24-6
"The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."

    1. Thank you so much Sarah!! :D I know, I haven't seen these flowers before either! They were not there last year...? But we've been looking around town and have seen them everywhere. I think they are like weeds blooming into flowers? Haha!

      Have a beautiful week! ♥

    1. Hi Noemie! I saw your post was posted on Saturday, I was just wondering, do you by any chance keep the Saturday Sabbath? My family and I do, and I thought maybe you do as well. Thanks, and may God bless!!!!

  4. Hi Abigail!! Yes, I do celebrate the Sabbath on Saturdays and not Sundays. :) I'm sure there are people who observe it far more strictly than I, and I have to say that I would love to spend my Saturdays in complete rest, but sometimes family life doesn't allow it to be so... :P How about you? How do you spend your Sabbaths? :D

Thanks for your lovely comment, Jesus bless you!!

    1. Hi Noemie! My family and I tend to spend our Sabbaths in rest, family activities, and worship of the Lord. Yes, I know what you mean, often there are little "works of necessity" that must be carried out :)

Thank you so much for your kind reply!
